Depression makes everything look grey and bleak. It saps your energy, and you have little interest or pleasure in activities. Depression can keep you in bed with too little or too much sleep. Perhaps you can’t eat or you eat too much. Maybe you have trouble focusing. You might feel bad about yourself. You might even fantasize about the imagined release of death. As a result of depression, you might feel like you are in a very dark place – and the prospect of climbing out of that dark hole can seem impossible and hopeless.
That’s where I come in.
I will take you by the hand and, pushing and pulling together, we will lift you out of the hole. Even if you have no hope, I will hold out enough hope for the both of us.
